Bord Gais Energy is one of the largest suppliers of electricity and gas in the country, with more than 740,000 customers.
Operating since 1976, Bord Gais Energy began as a state-owned gas provider, but has expanded in scope since then, supplying electricity also from 2009 onwards.
In 2014 Bord Gais became part of the global Centrica plc Group after being sold by the government to improve its efficiency as part of an integrated supply chain.
