It applies to 28 Energia plans on sale today. All 8 current Energia electricity plans are variable-rate. Customers on a variable-rate plan pay the new rates from the day they take effect. A customer on a fixed-rate contract keeps their rates until the fixed term ends.

About Energia
Energia is part of the Energia Group supplying electricity and gas to customers in Ireland and Northern Ireland since 1999. Starting off by supplying business customers, Energia entered the Residential electricity market in 2014.
One of the leading suppliers of green electricity in Ireland, Energia provides approximately 17% of electricity requirements and 20% of the island’s total wind power meeting the energy needs of 800,000 homes and businesses.

If you’re on a fixed-rate plan, your rates hold until the term ends. On a variable plan, Energia’s new rates apply from the date in its letter or email.
